PTA Membership
​When you become a member of the Risdon Middle School PTA, you join a community of families and teachers supporting the academic and social needs of our students and our school community. TOGETHER with our teachers and staff we develop our children into inspired, confident learners and citizens of the global community

The strength of our PTA lies in its members and we need you so the PTA can bring enriching programs and events to our Risdon students.  PTA Membership does not require that you volunteer or attend meetings, but we hope you’ll help, or drop in, whenever you can.  Anyone can join Risdon PTA, and we welcome all family members!

Research shows that students do better when their families are involved both at home and at school:

  • Grades are higher
  • Test scores rise
  • Self-esteem grows
  • Schools improve

And if those reasons aren't enough, the PTA can help you:
Be in the know. PTA helps you keep up with what’s happening in your school helping you better support your child’s education.
Access great resources. PTA provides information on topics ranging from homework help to bullying prevention, from media safety to child health, and more.
Build relationships. PTA connects you to other families through meetings, events, and communications, and helps build a sense of community.
Hone your skills. PTA offers opportunities for you to use your talents to benefit children and the school. PTA can help you expand your skills too.
Speak up. PTA can be a way to more effectively suggest changes at your child’s school and in your community, and to be involved in making them happen.

 

To join the Risdon Middle school PTA, simply print and complete the form below and return it to the Risdon Middle School Office. The cost is just $15 per person, good through June 30, 2024.
